Ludhiana: Even though there are tensions across the borders, the dream of peace between India and Pakistan is still alive. Ludhiana boy Gurmeet Singh, director Aryan Prince and the group of artists Beehive Theatre Group came out with the actual concept.

Balraj Sahni Open Air theatre was full of a round of applause and tears in eyes when the play of ‘Picnic on the Battlefield’ was played by Gurmeet Singh, director Aryan Prince and the group of artists Beehive Theatre Group.

In order to make a unique ambience, the performing stage was built from all waste materials by young volunteers. The story is all about the two soldier of both nations, who knows that war will not help them but the peace and friendship.

An intense climax packed with emotions and tight sited audience of open air theatre passed a strong message to society that war is actually, not a logic. Inviting the Pakistani soldier to have some food with them (Indian Soldier), even if there is tensed environment on the border, they both dies from a bomb blast while enjoying ‘Picnic on the Battlefield’.
