Reliance Industries owner and billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s eldest son was reportedly engaged to Shloka Mehta, the daughter of diamantine Russel Mehta, MD of Rosy Blue Diamonds – in a private event in Goa, yesterday.

It won’t be wrong to tag 2018 as the year of high-profile weddings. One after another, we can hear wedding bells all around – adding to which, is the upcoming billionaire wedding. Reportedly, Akash Ambani, the eldest son of Nita and Mukesh Ambani was engaged to Shloka Mehta yesterday in a private event in Goa. Although it is not officially declared by either of the families, pictures shared by fan pages and social media users showed a charming lawn ceremony under palm trees and white shamianas does the talking. And India’s richest man Mukesh Ambani’s son Akash Ambani is engaged to Shloka Mehta – daughter of Russel & Mona Mehta, a diamantine, it is a big deal.

As per sources, Ambani’s had arranged for a floral decor of worth Rs 50 lakh at the Siddhi Vinayak temple in Mumbai on Sunday as it is the last day of Navratri, and Shloka had reportedly to the first Aarti, yesterday. And the grand wedding is slated for the end of this year. The duo were schoolmates in Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai and have been close friends for years. There have been speculations about the duo getting hitched since quite some time – yet, there has been no official statement from the families.

After school, Shloka Mehta went to Princeton University to study anthropology and graduated in 2013. Further, she did her masters in law and anthropology at the London School of Economics and passed out in 2014. It is reported that she has been the director of Rosy Blue Foundation since 2014 and has co-founded ConnectFor in 2015. And Akash Ambani and his family business certainly needs no introduction or description. A few months back there were reports of Akash Ambani’s wedding card will be made of gold and apparently costs Rs 1.5 lakh for the wedding being planned for December 2018.
