Amazon India is famous for its fast delivery and its outstanding customer service. We all have experienced its customer-oriented polite and friendly customer service at least once.

Amazon India has more than 50 fulfillment centres, multiple sorting centres, and around 150 delivery stations spread across the country. A lot of persons are employed through these fulfillment centres and delivery stations of Amazon India. A lot of people are engaged in their Customer Service Department as well. As the major Indian festival Diwali is just around the corner, Amazon expects to get a lot of traffics to its website and a lot of orders as well. To handle this rush to its website and to fulfill these order on the time, Amazon is creating around 50 thousand more jobs this festive season. These seasonal employees will serve in Amazon fulfillment network and in customer service sites.

The Vice President of Amazon India (Customer Fulfillment) said, “In our effort to provide a seamless shopping experience, we have enhanced our teams significantly with more than 2X the number of seasonal associates working in the Amazon fulfillment network and customer service sites compared to the last festive season… The 50,000 seasonal associates will help us in augmenting our capabilities.” These seasonal associates will work in 20 customer service sites which are spread in total 16 cities across India.

These customer service associates will serve in local languages like Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu as well. They will provide service through voice, email, chat and over social media. Needless to say, Amazon India will see a significant jump in sales this season as they have already hired these seasonal associates to fulfill the heavy sales volume on “Great India Festival” sale. This sale is expected to generate major of the annual sales during this October-November phase.
