London: Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) has stated that Anil Kumble will remain as a coach at least until the West Indies tour, asking the Indian cricket board for more time to resolve the issue.

At a time, Anil Kumble is hard to be removed from coach with very short notice and so his tenure is extended by Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman committee until the issue is not resolved. This is the same group of people who picked Kumble last year as an Indian Coach.

Meeting held by CAC and BCCI raised concern on an issue and it lasted for two hours. They also talked with Kumble and Kohli by separate conversations. Issue resolution is the main parameter considered by CAC and BCCI along with other officials and it will take time to conclusion on Kumble’s position.

“The CAC has bought some time for Kumble and ensured he is not ignominiously removed after India’s run in the Champions Trophy. He will travel with the team to West Indies. It’s a short tour so there shouldn’t be any problems,” said a top source. “Kohli is basically being asked to ‘adjust’ for a while more.”

Although, there is no confirmed date for pending interviews of new coach recruitment, conducted by CAC as many applicants have applied for this position including Sehwag.

Officials and cricket experts believe that new coach should remain for atleast 2019 World Cup to avoid such issues and team will have better coordination affecting the overall performance.

Kumble is a fresher as a cricket coach and so was allotted 1 year for Indian Cricket Team. On another side, Kohli has rejected the rumours on Kumble-Kohli dressing room fights. Said, media has taken wrong turn on this belief. Everything is fine between us.
