The 14th edition of the Delhi Auto Expo wrapped up on Wednesday, moving ahead with a great record of a total registered footfall of 605,175 and witnessed over 500 product displays from 119 exhibitors – making it a grand success.

The biennial auto expo held at Delhi this year, marking the 14th edition of Delhi Auto Expo which has proved itself as a grand success and a harbinger of transformation in Indian motor industry. Jointly organised by Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the auto show was held from February 9 to 14.  The Auto Show 2018 witnessed a total of over 500 products from 119 exhibitors – including 53 Original Vehicle Manufacturers showcasing over 100 products, including 22 launches, 81 product unveilings and 18 concept showcase.

14 new brands were launched in India, among which, the highlights are – Kia Motors India, India Kawasaki Motors and Cleveland CycleWerks. Besides these launches, 25 electric vehicles were showcased in the auto expo and 11 start-ups made debut presence in the event. All these launches and displays at the grandiose automobile event gained the attention of 605,175 people who made the event a grander success. Crowds of automobile-lovers livened up the event not just on weekends, but they converged even during regular weekdays; and the additional day added extra congregation of crowds, especially in the Special Zone.

Over 14 years, Auto Expo has gained itself a brand image and is now a grand platform in the automobile sector. The ACMA-SIAM-CII organised event is now the biggest platform for the Indian automobile industry to showcase its journey towards the future of ‘Mobility in India’. However, the event could have attracted even more visitors – only if renowned brands like Volkswagen Group, Jaguar and Land Rover, Nissan, Ford, Triumph Motorcycles and Eicher Motors had made their presence in the show. Despite this, the Auto Expo 2018 has received a tremendous response, especially on netizens who posted more than 1.5 lakh tweets on its official hashtag to generate a massive 4.5 billion impressions on Twitter in just 6 days!
