After London and New York, Amazon’s signature fashion designing studio – ‘Blink’ has now arrived in Gurgaon, pushing the brand’s wings beyond ecommerce in India.

Spread in a 44,000 square-feet area, the digital fashion imaging studio is a dream come true for fashion lovers, and is one of its kind state-of-art facility – formally launched in Gurgaon, Delhi! Blink fashion studio is Amazon’s only third such launch globally, after New York and London. The studio is loaded with 16 individual high-tech photography bays, a ramp, presentation facilities, video editing facilities, large editorial suite, creative spaces and everything one can imagine to make high-quality fashion merchandise.

Overall, about 200 people at Amazon, including the front end and back end, will be involved in the new studio to push the fashion segment ahead of the festive season sale in India. The company expects that Blink will change how Amazon Fashion works in India, and is expected to go a long way in the country’s fashion sector. Fashion brands can hire the studio to create multimedia content for new collections or simply trends videos they may like to push through their marketing channels. Blink can also serve as a perfect venue for the launch of a new collection by a brand or for fashion events.

Not just that, we will see a major quality difference in the way products are showcased on the Amazon website. While Amazon already offering over 1,500 styles on their Indian website, Blink will make it even more convenient for customers to shop their quality clothing collections in India. The move indicates’s increased focus on fashion, a category that has swiftly grown to feature among the top three in the Amazon marketplace. Over the last eight months, added 50 international fashion labels to its list of 15,000 which includes Forever 21, Marks & Spencer and Calvin Klein, the company said. It is also luring brands into featuring their new season collections first on Amazon. So ready for some Blink, Indians?
