Bhavnagar: A man names Janardan Bhatt from city if Gujarat, Bhavnagar, has donated Rs 1 Crore to National Defence Fund from his savings. He is 84, worked as a Clerk in a renowned bank and had savings of Rs 1 Crore.
Janardan served as an SBI Clerk and was a vital part of Bank Union group. He is living his normal retired life as others. He saved a good amount of money from his earning as well as invested in various funds from time to time which gave him good return in back when he retired.
When he sees news of martyred Army Jawans at border and under Pakistan-promoted terrorism, he decided to do something better for Indian Army. He figured out the money he had, based on his age, health and family members.
Terrorist attacks are getting frequent in recent days and we all are hot-blooded against terrorism which is affecting our growth and development. Considering it, he said, “Now I want to solve the problems of Army Jawans. I served Bank Union group and its to change the focus.”
Even, millionaires in India thinks twice to donate the fund in 8 digits but this common man did not think second time and donated to National Defence Fund.
He was appreciated and applauded from various religions across the state and made his city proud for this step. He is keen to solve the problems of jawans getting martyred and have peaceful environment in the whole country.
