The state-owned telecom service provider – BSNL has introduced a new amazing corporate email service which will cost just one rupee per day, with promise of secure and efficient emailing platform.

Internet has gotten a lot cheaper and a lot speedier in recent months (after introduction of Reliance Jio), if we look back in time when internet was charged in KBs and MBs. The telecom and internet service market is not cut-throat competitive and every telco has something to offer, but nobody has really looked in to provide cheaper services that target corporate usage. Grabbing the chance, state-owned telecom company – Bharat Sanchar Nigam has come up with a plan that will provide secure and efficient corporate e-mail service at a never-before rate of just 1 rupee/day. Which sums up to Rs 365 for a year of corporate email ID with 1GB storage, Rs 500 for 5GB and Rs 999 for 10GB storage capacity.

BSNL has joined hands with a Jaipur-based private firm called Data Infosys which will be responsible for providing the corporate email service across India. The plan was introduced on Thursday with high promises of providing an email service which will ensure security and privacy of data as its primary focus. The email service is made extra-secure by keeping it off from the vulnerabilities caused because of scanning made by email hosts. It will not allow anyone, including email administrator to monitor or look into any email account.

Taking security even further, the entire email platform will be hosted on BSNL network rather than any third party network – which will give the service provided total rights to control privacies and provide best speed. Privacy is the key feature, but BSNL will not compromise with speed either and it will also provide a mobile app so that users can access the service through cell-phones. A much cheaper, a lot more secure and reasonably speedy corporate email service – what more can one ask for!
