The Union Finance Ministry announced that the Central Government has approved the recommendations of salary hike and fitment factor – which will be applicable from April this year and will benefit thousands of families.
Today, on Tuesday, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley announced that he country to approve the recommendations of the 7th pay panel for its employees and implementing from April 2018. The recommendations includes a salary hike and raise in the fitment factor which will be given from this month. The official statement also said, “The delay in pay hike is due to lack of response from the Finance Ministry to the promise of FM Jaitley over the last two years before finally sending it to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) for nod.” The central government employees have been waiting for a hike in minimum pay and fitment factor beyond the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission for more than a year.
Now that the 7th Pay Commission is approved, employees of the central government will start receiving revised salary as per the recommendations of the 7th pay panel from this month. Remarkably, Jammu and Kashmir has become the first state to approve the recommendations of the 7th Pay Panel for its employees from this month.
The Jammu and Kashmir government’s information department took it to Twitter and announced, “Implementation of 7th Pay Commission Recommendations approved by State Cabinet. As already announced by Govt, the employees to draw revised scales of pay from current month.” As per reports, the J&K state government will make all necessary recommendations to the departments through a formal order – by today evening and the processing will begin as soon as possible. The implementation of the 7th Pay Commission recommendations will benefit thousands of employees and their families.
