‘The Statue of Unity’ is the highest built statue in the world since its inauguration and the government has now launched a helicopter ride service to get an unmatched panoramic view of the statue.
Known as the insignia of unity, the Gujarat government built a 182-meter tall statue built on the banks of Narmada River in the memory of our first deputy prime minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel aka Sardar Patel. The statue had attracted around 1.28 lakhs visitors in just 11 days of its inauguration nearly 15,000 visitor everyday on an average, the statue has become a tourist attraction. Citing the fact that the statue has attracted a lots of local as well as foreign visitors, the government has written an official letter to the CMs of all the states in India to consider setting up a guest house near the Statue of Unity.
Since it has become a tourist’s attraction, the helicopter ride that started the statue of unity is started this Sunday will provide a thrilling ride and a breath-taking view around world’s tallest statue. Since the starting of this chopper ride service, fifty nine persons and six media persons have had the experience of this chopper ride. But, how much does it cost? One ride of 10 minutes will cost you Rs 2,900 for one person, which will take you in the helicopter and have a flyby over the Statue of Unity and Narmada River. Besides a flyby visit to the Statue of Unity, the chopper ride also includes the panoramic view of Sardar Sarovar Dam, Narmada river, and the Satpura and Vindhya hills. So, the money spent on this chilling ride is totally worth it.
