The film has been produced on a budget of Rs 140 crore by actor-filmmaker Dhanush. It is remarkable, that the Rajinikanth fans were anxiously awaiting this movie as it depicts the Thalaivar in a his typical power-packed role. Along with Rajinikanth, the film stars other actors like Nana Patekar, Eswari Rao, Samuthirakani, Sampath Raj, Sayaji Shinde, Anjali Patil, Manikandan, Dileepan, Pankaj Tripathi, Ravi Kale, Ramesh Thilak, Arul Doss, Aravind Akash, Sakshi Agarwal, Arundhati, Suganya and Nithish in pivotal roles.
The release of the film was marked with Rajinikanth’s fans thronging in large numbers at the cinema halls and rather interestingly they were seen offering milk to the superstar’s poster at a theatre in Chennai today. This is just one of the innovative ways the fans have adopted today to show their love towards their beloved superstar. Unfortunately, the film has encountered many small and big issues which acted as adversities prior to its release. However, the Supreme Court on Wednesday denied to block the release of the film clarifying that it cannot put on hold the screening just a day ahead of its release. Well aware about the fact that people were eagerly waiting for the release of the film, a vacation bench of Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel and Justice Ashok Bhushan told petitioner K. Rajashekaran that he would be entitled to compensation if his plagiarism claim of his original story Karikalan was sustained.
Most importantly, the thing which matters the most, even more than money, for the makers of the movie is the love and affection of its fans and well-wishers. This has turned very much true for ‘Kaala’ as the release of the film today was marked by numerous Rajinikanth fans across the country expressing their joy and eagerness on Twitter to watch the film at the earliest. The loving and affectionate words from hundreds of fans would certainly mean a lot for the makers of the film and would certainly add to their enthusiasm prior to its performance at the box office in the upcoming days.
