Washington: Donald Trump’s first daughter will be taking charge as White House advisor as an ‘unpaid job’, she announced earlier this week.

Ivanka’s husband Jared Kushner also works as a senior most aide to the President, will not receive a salary for her work as a federal employee. Kushner is a real estate developer, is also unpaid from White House administration.

“We are pleased that Ivanka Trump has chosen to take this step in her unprecedented role as the first daughter and in support of the president,” a White House statement said.

“Ivanka’s service as an unpaid employee furthers our commitment to ethics, transparency, and compliance and affords her increased opportunities to lead initiatives driving real policy benefits for the American public that would not have been available to her previously.”

Ivanka showed regular presence in White House since Donald Trump took charge and she already has a personal office. Considering her presence and approach towards nation’s administration, White House showed green signal for her appointment.

Earlier when Japanese PM Shinzo Abe visited the US, Ivanka accompanied Donald Trump in a round-table discussion. She also took part with Chancellor Angela Merkel during the German leader’s visit to the White House.

Her involvement with her father’s official duties has been well appreciated in some quarters over possible conflicts of interest.

But Ivanka, who was part of her father’s business empire and ran an undistinguished fashion line, said those qualms are unfounded.

“I have heard the concerns some have with my advising the president in my personal capacity while voluntarily complying with all ethics rules, and I will instead serve as an unpaid employee in the White House Office, subject to all of the same rules as other federal employees,” she said in a statement.

“Throughout this process, I have been working closely and in good faith with the White House Counsel and my personal counsel to address the unprecedented nature of my role.”

Although, there were many arguments on her appointment but Jamie Gorelick who is Ivanka Trump’s official lawyer managed the situation with media.
