When it comes to making an entry with elegance, Kareena Kapoor Khan leaves no stones unturned; and she stole the night at the India Couture Week 2018 with a stunning showstopper outfit – a 30 kilogram golden lehenga by designers Falguni-Shane Peacock.
Fashion rains at the India Couture Week 2018 in Delhi, but every show has just one show stealer and this year’s showstopper will most likely be Kareena Kapoor Khan in the massively embellished gold lehenga. On the day 2 of the India Couture Week 2018, Kareena nailed it at the designers Falguni-Shane Peacock’s fashion show by dazzling in a 30-kilo golden lehenga that looked no less than the most regal outfit one can think of.
The A-line lehenga designed by Peacock designers was teamed with a matching full-sleeve blouse tailored with a plunging neckline and a nude glittering dupatta. Keeping up to the signature feathers in all Peacock’s outfits, the dupatta featured a signature feather twist. Balancing the heavily embellished lehenga, Kareena opted for minimalistic jewels by Prakshi Fine Jewellery and shimmery, dewy and neutral toned makeup with softly curled hair to round off the entire look with perfection.
Talking about the literally heavy outfit, Kareena said that this was the first time ever that she has worn an outfit that weighs 30kgs and added that “if it weren’t Falguni and Shane, she wouldn’t have done this”. Alongside the blindingly dazzling gold lehenga, the world-class designers’ collection included their signature use of feathers, sequence and prints, and the juxtaposition between contrasting elements to give a modern spin to traditional wear.
