UNICEF frequently chooses famous celebrities like Lilly Singh aka Superwoman to represent their countries as goodwill ambassadors to spread awareness about social and public issues among the people. One such celebrity is again chosen to spread awareness about health of women and children, and the celebrity is none other than the Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor Khan.
The ‘Veere di wedding’ actress is mother of one and has successfully been good at raising her little one along with balancing her career. According to a recent research, many of the women, especially in rural India, are unaware of the minimal knowledge about how to handle their pregnancy. So in order to enlighten these ignorant women with her experience gained knowledge, Kareena has taken up the duty for UNICEF. She is going to guide them about the dos and don’ts of pregnancy, and how to take care of their new born and themselves, as to-be mothers are still suffering from many inconveniences.
Along with this, Kareena is also going to share her views and spread awareness about the illegal activity of female feticide and how it can be stopped. She will be travelling across the nation and visiting rural and some of the urban cities as well, educating women and their families about pregnancy and its nuances, guiding them through the type of diet, and routine they ought to follow.
Kareena Kapoor, while talking about this new responsibility, has asserted that it’s not only the government who has to put in the effort for building a happy and healthy society, but the citizens need to participate in their campaigns actively to ensure their health. It’s too nice of her to be a responsible mother of Taimur Ali Khan, to still continue her career as an actress and still find time and energy for her fellow country people.
