Caught your attention there, right? RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav will soon marry Aishwarya Rai who is certainly not Mrs Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (come on!), but is the granddaughter of ex-Bihar CM Daroga Rai and daughter of senior RJD leader and MLA Chandrika Rai.

The name is enough to catch headlines. However, it isn’t what you may have thought initially. Surprise! It is time to hear wedding bells in the Yadav family as Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav is set to tie a knot with Aishwarya Rai, granddaughter of former Bihar chief minister Daroga Prasad Rai and daughter of former Bihar minister Chandrika Prasad Rai. The engagement ceremony of Tej Pratap Yadav and Aishwarya Rai is scheduled on April 18 at a city hotel named Maurya and the wedding is expected to happen later in next month on May 12.

The daughter of former Bihar CM Chandrika Prasad Rai, Aishwarya is the eldest among her two siblings – one sister, Ayushi Rai who is an engineer, and one brother Apurva Rai, who is studying law. Aishwarya has studied from Notre Dame Academy in Patna, following which she moved to Delhi for her graduation and later completed her MBA. It is reported that the talks between the two families have been underway for the last six months and Aishwarya might as well join politics in future.

Tej Pratap had formally joined politics during the campaigning of 2015 Bihar Assembly polls and was successfully elected from Mahua, Vaishali. All seven daughters of Lalu Prasad are married, however, the topic of the wedding of Lalu’s sons – Tej Partap and younger brother Tejashwi had hit headlines after Rabri Devi had controversially remarked that she did not want a “mall-going” daughter-in-law for her sons. However, all is well when it ends well.
