Following the footsteps of Akshay Kumar’s action themed patriotic movies, Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika is an addition to the list, screening out the biographical story of Queen of Jhansi aka Jhansi ki rani. Here’s a brief before you go watch the movie.
Manikarnika is the cinematic biography of queen of Jhansi, her journey from her motherland to her husband’s kingdom, her contribution to the freedom fight of India and the grandeur and grace of Queen Manikarnika throughout her life. The movie is together directed by Ranaut and Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi, with Kangana Ranaut starring the film with lead role as the Queen of Jhansi; co-starred by Atul Kulkarni, Richard Keep, Jisshu Sengupta, Suresh Oberoi, Danny Denzongpa, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Ankita Lokhande and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub.
On the acting part, Kangana has successfully justified the role and proved herself to be an actor of her own kind once again. With all the grace, acting, dialogue delivery, make up and look, everything is on fleek, Kangana as Manikarnika has added a feather to the crown of the movie. The movie is infused with a little bit of fiction to give it a dramatic touch, thanks to the shooting and cinematography performed with utmost care and efforts. Visual effects are used in ample amounts and there are several action scenes adding to the interest of viewers, but a little magical touch could have made it perfect.
Talking about the collections, the movie received, an amount of Rs 15.70 crore on this Sunday in addition to its total collection, which now stands at Rs 42.55 crore after summing up. As soon as it was released, on 25th of January, the movie has received mostly good reviews and appreciation from the audience regarding almost every aspect of the film, and that gives us a hope that the weekly collection of Manikarnika will sum up to a considerably good amount. With a 3.5-4.0 rating received all over, this movie has received a loving and warm response from the box office and is definitely worth watching with family.
