The fourth car of Mercedes’ flagship AMG series – the Mercedes AMG S 63 Coupe has been launched in India at a price of Rs 2.55 crore with a promise from the luxury automobile company to bring a lot more in this year.

While the Mercedes Benz S Class is considered to be the finest when it comes to luxurious offerings from the German carmaker, but if you are all about exhilarating performance and luxury at the same time – here’s good news for you. Mercedes has launched its fourth AMG in India this year – the AMG S 63 Coupe, which is a perfect balance of luxury, stunning looks and outstanding performance thanks to its signature Merc 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. Priced at Rs 2.25 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi), the coupe will be imported to India as a completely built unit and will be sold in limited numbers – making it one of the most exclusive luxury cars one can own in India.

Looking at the the Mercedes AMG S 63 Coupe, which is now available in India, the first obvious thing one would notice is its sharp ravishing looks. The newly launched luxury vehicle has been updated from its predecessors with much sharper and attractive looks – featuring the ‘Panamericana’ bold grille and a bold front bumper to add the sportiness while showing off its aerodynamic sculpting. However, the sporty exteriors, by no means do mean that Mercedes-AMG S 63 does not skimp on luxurious interiors. With a flowing twin-touchscreen, Nappa leather covered seats, a unique steering wheel and AMG graphics in the infotainment – the coupe is not anywhere behind when it comes to luxury. But let’s not forget performance because, it is after all, a powerful AMG coupe that is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that is mated with a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The power output of this diesel engine is the same at 612PS, though the torque figure now is up by 50Nm, to 900Nm; and the car can fire up to speed of 100kmps from 0 in 3.5 seconds and hit the top speed of 250kmph. Also, the top speed limit can be boosted to 300kmph by opting for the optional AMG driver’s pack – a deal to grab, ain’t it?
