Touted as the Microsoft’s “most versatile laptop”, the Surface Pro has finally made its way to India after almost a year since launch and the entire hybrid laptop line-up is being brought to India.
On Thursday, Microsoft announced the launch of Surface Pro AKA Surface Pro (5) which was globally launched back in in May of 2017 and after almost a year, the company is finally bringing the hybrid laptop line-up to India. The laptop is claimed to be the “most versatile laptop” by Microsoft, which is powered by the last gen Intel Core chips with the base model featuring a Core m3 processor. Surface Pro features a high-resolution 12.3-inch “PixelSense” touch display that supports the new Surface Pen 4. Other prominent features include – first generation, 2-in-1 detachable of the Microsoft Surface series – with a configuration of Intel Core m3, 128 GB SSD, 4GB RAM and Intel HD Graphics 615. All this will cost Rs 64,999.
And you get another higher option too – the one with Intel Core i7, 512 GB SSD, 16GB RAM and Intel IrisTM Plus Graphics 640 configuration; but it will cost Rs 182,999. So the previous one would be base variant and the latter one would be the topmost variant. But consumers can have other options between these too, including – Intel Core i5, 128 GB SSD, 4GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 620: Rs. 79,999, Intel Core i5, 256 GB SSD, 8GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 620: Rs. 1,06,999 and Intel Core i7, 256 GB SSD, 8GB RAM, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640: Rs. 1,33,999. About the accessories, the Surface Pro Type Cover (Black) has been priced at Rs. 10,999, the Surface Pro Signature Type Cover (Platinum) comes at Rs. 12,999, the Surface Pen (Silver, Charcoal) has a price tag of Rs. 7,999, and the Surface Arc Mouse (Light Gray) can be bought for Rs. 6,399.
The new laptop is expected to offer people of India another superior device that will enable them create, study, work and play virtually anywhere. Since it weighs just 767 grams and is just 8.5 mm thick, it will be extremely mobile and easy to carry. It also has a hinge that lets users adjust the tablet by up to 165 degrees, letting them operate the Surface Pro in Studio Mode. The new Surface Pro delivers the versatility of a laptop and a creative studio in one thin, lightweight device and one has to loosen up their pockets to get something good.
