Official statements straight from South Kashmir state be gunned down during the Tral that Pulwama attack mastermind, identified as Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist Mudasir Ahmed Khan alias ‘Mohd Bhai’ is believed to be gunned down encounter rounds on Monday night.

Earlier last week, security forces had received intelligence inputs about presence of militants in the Pinglish area of Tral in South Kashmir. And on Sunday, the military was conducting regular search operations in the region, when alleged terrorists open fired at the search teams. In retaliating strikes, the forces immediately launched a cordon and encounter operation on Sunday midnight. It has been reported that the encounter lasted past might and three terrorists – including the Pulwama attack mastermind terrorist Mudasir Ahmed Khan are believed to be killed.

The 23-year-old “lesser-known” terrorist had reportedly joined the Jaish-e-Mohammed sometime in 2017 and is believed to be part of Lethpora attack on a CRPF camp in January 2018, the Sunjawan army camp attack in February 2018 and the Pulwama attack on CRPF convoy on 14th February, 2019. Officials have said that the suicide attacker of Pulwama attack – Adil Ahmed Dar was in continuous contact with Khan, and was reported to be responsible for providing the logistics for attack. However, the security officials also stated that “the bodies of all three terrorists were charred beyond recognition – and yet to be confirmed.
