While the CRPF is still struggling with identifying the slain, the Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh governments announced to grant an ex-gratia of Rs 25 lakh and a government job to the families CRPF jawans from the state who were among the 44 killed in Pulwama attack.
After JeM claimed responsibility for the terror attack that took place about 20 km from Srinagar, Soldiers Welfare Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas assured the families of martyred soldiers that the government will stand with them in tough times. Keeping the promise, Askhok Ghelot-led Rajasthan government announced granting an ex-gratia of Rs 25 lakh and a government job to one of the family members of the security personnel from Rajasthan, who passed away in the Pulwama attack on CRPF convoy on Thursday.
As per the announcement, the Rajasthan state government will give the ex-gratia amount worth Rs 25 lakh to the wives of martyred soldiers or Rs 1 lakh cash along with 25 bigha land or Rs 1 lakh cash with one MIG house. Following this, Uttar Pradesh government also announced ex gratia of 25 lakh rupees each along with a job for one member of the families of the soldiers martyred in the attack. Yogi Adityanath also announced that the roads leading to villages of the martyrs will be renamed after them as a tribute in the honour of the salient heroes.
