A slum god is now gangster and Rajnikanth just can’t resist being one more time a superhero for poor. The most part of the film has been shot in Mumbai.

The movie will be available in Tamil-Hindi both considering the impressive numbers of fans of Thalaiva in country. Although on another hand, Rajnikanth & Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 will be releasing in January 2018, Kaala needs to catch April for the same year to keep proper distance.

Slum lord turned gangster Rajnikanth’s Kaala is no less action-thriller than 2.0 as the shooting of both the films has been completely recently. 2018 will be the year of Rajni’s fan for back-to-back movies.

Being bilingual movie, Kaala will also include Marathi lines in script, predominantly shot in Mumbai. Basically, this film is focused on right to equality for Tamil people residing in Mumbai, especially in poverty region. Climax and set for creating slum area costs Rs 5 Crore for producer to build a replica of Dharavi slum to shoot vital parts of film. Produced by Dhanush and Music Composer Santosh Narayanan, Kaala was originally scheduled to release on December 12, observed as birthday of Superstar Rajnikanth.

This is the second film of Rajni-Ranjith partnership after Kabali, though the budget is comparatively less. The film also stars Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi, Anjali Patil, Pankaj Tripathi and Samuthirakani in pivotal roles.
