Not only the best bowler in ICC rankings, but Ravindra Jadeja is now world’s number 1 all-rounder in test matches with 438 points as per the latest ICC Test Rankings.

During the second test match against Sri Lanka at Colombo, Ravindra scored an unbeatable 70 not out and a seven wicket haul to reach at the pole position in the All-Rounder’s list as per ICC Test Rankings, beating Bangla player Shakib Al Hasan. With 438 points, Jadeja has surpassed Hasan to become the No. 1 all-rounder, who had held the record of 431 points. The 28-year-old cricketer hailing from Gujarat has received a double honour with this recent one added up to his No. 1 test bowler.

Jadeja was also honoured as the man-of-the match during second Test against Sri Lanka for his outstanding performance, but was also banned from playing in the third and final Test matches at Pallekele for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct. But with this feat, Jadeja also propelled 9 ranks above to touch the 51st rank among batsmen. This is the first time Jadeja has reached the apex position in all-rounders’ list at the ICC Tests. In the all-rounders’ list, Jadeja is followed by Bangladeshi player Sakib Hasan with 431 points and Ravichandran Ashwin on the third place with 418 points.

Apart from Jadeja, Cheteshwar Poojara with 888 points, gained a place to become the third best batsman which is century score at the second Test match. India made a joyous victory with one inning and 53 runs against Sri Lanka, to score a 0-2 unassailable lead in the three-match Test series.
