In Indian Wells 2017 finale, Roger Federer, the Swiss genius outran Stan Wawrinka by 6-4, 7-5 to win his fifth Indian Wells title, adding to those achieved in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2012. Federer being the 35 years old becomes the oldest Indian Wells’ Champion ever.

The very well-known Swiss tennis legend, Roger Federer is back and this isn’t just a play game for him. After winning the Australian Open and his 18th Grand Slam singles titles, Federer is back at the Indian Wells to shout his comeback loud and bold. In the all-Swiss finale of Indian Wells 2017, Federer beat Stan Wawrinka by 6-4 and 7-5 to win the Indian Wells 2017 title.

Seems like Federer is winding the clock backwords because the last time he won Australian Open and Indian Wells in the same years was like back in history, just a decade old history though; but it seems to be long long time ago because of the barren period after his Wimbledon victory in 2012. Anyway, forget the back talk because the king is back with a vengeance and that too at the age of 35.

After winning against Stan at BNP Paribas Open on Sunday, Federer became the oldest champion to win the desert tournament surpassing Connors who was 31 when he won Wells title in 1981. Federer also joined Novak Djokovic as the only men to win Indian Wells Master five times. You see, we don’t love him for no reason!

Anyone who knows about tennis surely adores watching Roger Federer’s games, even Stan Wawrinka admits to be his fan while felicitating him for the Wells victory. We hope that Federer actually rewinds the clock back so that we could see more of the “fairy tale” matches, always.
