Designed to carter the dreams of a single customer, the bespoke Rolls Royce Sweptail is the costliest vehicle ever made in the whole world. It is something far beyond from what we define ‘luxury’; made with no compromise and utter precision, this is not just a car, it is an identity, it is the pinnacle of bespoke.
The British luxury carmaker introduced its ultra-rare, one of its kind Rolls Royce Sweptail designed on the lines of the Rolls Royce Sweptails of 1920s, which is the costliest car in the whole world. And it is not for sale, it is custom made for a single individual whose identity is unknown, but the buyer has been described as a connoisseur and collector of distinctive, one-off items including private aircrafts, premium automobiles and super-yachts. The Rolls Royce Sweptail, built in the modern era, equipped with the most premium and advanced under the hood features but embodies the characteristics of classic Rolls Royce cars from the 1920s and the 1930s.
While the rest of the world race behind the car’s safety features, fuel consumption and resale value, the designers at Rolls Royce and the mysterious ultra-affluent gentleman kept in touch for four years to handcraft every single inch of the most exclusive, ostentatious and perhaps the most expensive motor vehicle ever. The car gets the largest ever aluminium grille in a Rolls Royce, hand-polished to the mirror finish and the largest ever signature ornament – ‘Spirit of Ecstasy’.
Under the hood, the two seater coupe features a giant 6.6 litre V12 engine and the car spans to over 6 metres! The interiors are exclusively handmade with absolute precision made from Macassar Ebony and Paldao veneers, the Moccasin and Dark Spice leathers of the seats, doors and the hand-stitched steering wheel, as per the gentleman’s choice – catch one’s fancy and awe.
Seen in a distinctive blue exterior color, Sweptail can be noted for its scale and grandeur. This regal looking coupe receives a large panoramic glass roof (which is the largest seen in any car), an extensive front grille and spread out wind screen. The coupe, being so exclusive in style and design also sports a unique registration number “08”. These two digits are made of ingots of aluminum and hand polished to perfection.
There is no match to this car and there will never be a duplicate, so even if you are the richest person in the world (Bill Gates, hi, how have you been?) and you really have that kind of cash to splutter away, sorry, the Rolls Royce Sweptail is just one Sweptail and the owner partying by Lake Como is the only owner of this car. The Sweptail, unveiled this weekend at the Concorso d’Eleganza at Villa d’Este, Italy, d’Este and it has its own unique shine like none other.
Oh you are still here to know how much it costs? As I said, there is no price tag for rarity in its most authentic form, and this car is one of the most precise piece of art. Okay, it still has a price so the bespoke Rolls Royce Sweptail costs $13 million, so if you want to get one in India, it will cost you over about Rs 200 Crore. Lavish most reverie because this is what looks like Rolls Royce Bespoke.
