A biopic like Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, MS Dhoni performed better in India than expected. It also performed well in abroad as well. Sachin A Billion Dreams is considered as even marvellous biopic of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar in which no hero but himself has played the role.
Sachin A Billion Dreams, which features India’s biggest ever sports icon in a tell-all avatar, went under-production in 2012. Sachin says, “This film is completed now. The work on it started in 2012. I didn’t realise, but Ravi (the producer) told me that we started working on it even before Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Mary Kom and other biopics.”
The movie will be released in 1,200 screens of India on May 26, directed by Brit James Erskine. It will also cover major overseas market where Cinestaan AA Distributors will be releasing in major countries.

Considering the billions of fans of SRT worldwide, this movie will achieve remarkable height with every chance that film will have strong innings. It will be released in English, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
Bollywood executive Girish Johar is very bullish about its prospects, observing, “Indians love cricket and are die-hard fanatics. They will want to see the journey of their cricketing God and relive those magical moments in history which he created.”
During the launch of the trailer in a packed Juhu auditorium, Tendulkar had said: “This film has helped me relive the important moments of my life through its making! I remain a private person but realised that there is much I have not revealed or spoken about, to those who have been instrumental to my life and career, especially my fans.”
“I hope the film will be yet another avenue for fans who have showered their love and blessings on me, to cherish the journey that we undertook together for over 24 years,” he added further.
