Actor Salman Khan’s production house has changed the name of their upcoming film starring Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain from ‘Loveratri’ to ‘Loveyatri’ after falling into controversies and legal pressure by from Bihar based Hindu groups over hurting the sentiments of festival of Navratri.
While Salman Khan is all ready to launch two new actors – his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma who will star alongside Afghan actress Warina Hussain under the Salman Khan Films banner in upcoming movie Loveratri, the film’s name landed into controversies. Since the film’s plot revolves around a love story among during the Indian festival Navratri, it was named as Loveratri. However, some of the groups from Bihar including the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) had demanded that the makers of the film should change its title as it was hurting the Hindu sentiments.
Taking into consideration the concerns from the Censor Board and sensitivity of the group towards the title of the film, the makers decided to release the film as Loveyatri (which means love traveller) instead of Loveratri – considering the safety and best interest of his audience. Salman shared the brand new poster of the film on Instagram with title Loveytari written on it as both the actors of the film are seen staring loving at each other while holding dandiya sticks in their hands.
However, Salman did clarify his side by taking the stand that the film originally had a beautiful title based on love. There is nothing more beautiful than love and it did not degrade any culture. Salman also claimed that after watching the film, the complainers will realize that there was nothing wrong about the old title also. However, the film, now titled as ‘Loveyatri’ and directed Abhiraj Minawala will hit the silver screen on October 5, 2018; and both the actors are on full-fledged promotion of the their film.
