Amaravati: Ace shuttler and Rio Olympics silver medallist P.V. Sindhu was on Thursday selected deputy collector, a Group-1 service post, in the AP government. CM N. Chandrababu Naidu personally handed over the Government Order to Sindhu in the Secretariat in Amaravati, designating her to the post.
Sindhu’s arrangement was cleared after the endorsement of the state Assembly accumulated in the new capital city to clear the GST Bill.
Chandrababu Naidu had guaranteed a Group-I post to Sindhu when she won the silver medal in Olympics. As needs are, she was selected the deputy collector.
