IWC Schaffhausen, the Swiss luxury watch manufacturer celebrated their 150-year anniversary yesterday and the company’s India brand ambassador fashionista Ms Sonam Kapoor flew to Geneva to attend the event. Since it is Sonam, she is expected to make some fashion-buzz and steal any shows she attends – at Geneva, Sonam is all about shades of pink and literally giving us out fashion lessons.
We know how pink is considered a soft, girlish, Barbie-ish, bubbly colour that can make possibly anything look delicate and floral and all those softy things? Well, you got to check out Sonam Kapoor’s pink Bougessa pantsuit. It is pink, it is as bold as it gets – it is literally power dressing, that too in pure bubble gum pink shade. Just have a look:
Bold and strinking, right? Everything from her Bougessa pantsuit in pink to her hair to her makeup and her accessories – it is all just so perfect. The into-the-eye pink monotone pantsuit coupled with a same coloured full-length overcoat talks all power and elegance. Straight hair and the dark maroon lipstick paired with smoky eyes makes her look even more striking – which is accentuated even more with her fierce expressions. Her looks took power-dressing to a whole new level while breaking all stereotypes attached with pink colour. The relaxed tailoring is extremely stylish, and we’re almost certain, comfortable. Adding to it, the Stuart Weitzman boots and those huge earring shows the audacity to try new things.
The second day look at Geneva was exact contrast with her bold pantsuit look – a princess dress that made her look like she just stepped out from a Disney fairy tale movie. It was in pink too, of course. But it was all about soft, regal, girly, fairy-like, delicate and cheerful just like a princess of some fairyland. Take a look.
With a neat bun, soft pink lips and purple-smokey eyes, she almost looks like a candy-princess straight out from a little girl’s sweet night dream. Sonam Kapoor literally showed is how versatile pink colour can be and that it is all about how we wear any colour. The Bollywood actress has never shied away from experimenting and has always managed to give out fashion goals and stealing all the shows.
