The first cinematic trailer of Marvel’s Ant-man and the Wasp, the sequel of Paul Rudd’s 2015 solo sci-fi superhero debut Ant-man is out and this time, Rudd in his shrinking superhero suit, is teaming up with Evangeline Lilly as, well, the Wasp to fight back the baddies – and all these tiny buggy superhero matchup actually seems to be working great!

A sequel for Ant-man, way to go Rudd and having Lilly as the wasp partner makes it cooler – which can be actually seen in the trailer of Marvel Comic’s latest upcoming sci-fi film Ant-man and the Wasp. The trailer shows how Rudd (Scott in the film) and Lilly (Hope in the film) works up on their tiny superpowers and it also hints about what baddies will Scott and Hope will face and fight against. They will also accompanied by Michael Douglas as Hank Pym – the inventor who invented the shrinking technology that gave Ant-man his tiny powers and will give the Wasp her smaller-than-world super powers in the sequel. So basically the story revolves around Ant-man and Wasp teaming around to rescue the original partner of Dr Pym – who also happens to be Hope’s (the Wasp) mother Janet van Dyne.

Directed by Peyton Reed, Ant-man and the Wasp is filled with a well balances mix of action and extra punches by underlying humour. Also, Ant-Man, as in Rudd will be expanding his shrinking and expanding abilities – and will even fly! However, the Wasp will be cooler as she is all equipped with wings and blasters. All that is pretty cool, but he let’s be honest, most of us are here for all those stuff that changes sizes and gets bigger and smaller. Correct me if I am wrong about that! So here’s some of the coolest shrinks and expansions that I managed to point out throughout the trailer.

The first one, when Dr Pym goes out on a lam to preserve his research – and instead of grabbing up a laptop or data in some hard drive – he freaking just shrinks the entire damn building and converts into a lovely carry-on wheeled suitcase! Then, the next one was Lilly was chasing Pym when he goes to pick up the building and she shrinks down her car to the size of a matchbox. And it is pretty cool to watch Lilly in action and the scene when he runs through bullets and even a goddamn knife! Holy hell! The Wasp may not be taken up with the superhero mantle that Ant-man was taken, but she actually seems to be making the film pretty amazing. 2015 Ant-man was fine, but there was something forgettable about it, and Ant-man and the Wasp would just change it and make the tiny powers much more ‘visible’ in the Marvel multiverse. Oh and it will be launched on July 5th this year.
