The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has opened up the registration links for UPSC 2019 Civil Services Prelims examination from today, and will remain open till 18th of March, 2019.

First step to appear in one of the most awaited and most attempted competitive exams, the UPSC 2019 is now open as registration links for the UPSC Prelims 2019 have been activated today. The UPSC Prelims are mandatory for appearing in the UPSC Main examination for recruitment in India’s topmost cadre government positions including the Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Police Services (IPS), Indian Foreign Services (IFS), Indian Revenue Services (IRS) and a total of 24 Grade A posts in various governmental departments. And the UPSC Prelims are also the qualifying examination for Indian Forest Services (IFoS).

The examination form is live on upsconline.nic.in portal with all necessary instructions, eligibility criteria, age limits and other details available for reference. As per previous year’s age limits, general category applicants aged 21 years to 32 years, calculated as on August 1, 2019 can register. A number of age relaxations and reservations are available for SC/ST, PwD, Ex-servicemen and Jammu Kashmir residents can be availed by producing necessary certificate issued by the Government of India.

However, All aspirants are suggested to go through the instructions in details as eligibility criteria are subject to change each year, and registration form filling process are updated too. Form filling must be completed by March 18, 2018 – including both the steps: registration and filling of online application forms known as Part I and Part II. The prelim exams will be held in June, after which, all qualifying candidates can appear for the main exams in December.
