Soon after declaring the dates for the much awaited and much attempted premier Union Public Service Commission exams, the decisive body of UPSC has announced that candidates now have the permission to withdraw their UPSC exam applications if needed

The permission to withdraw UPSC application will definitely help the aspirations to save an attempt in case they are not prepared for the exams due to some reasons, as there are age and attempt limits for one of the most sought and most premier government exams in India. The announcement was made officially by the UPSC board along with the date declaration of engineering services examination, 2019.

The decision of allowing withdrawals was made by UPSC after considering the fact that some of the aspirants were not prepared or confident enough for their exam preparation and missed the limited number of chances due to hasty application submission. As the announcement read, the applicants will be able to withdraw their complete applications within a week of applying but there has not been any particular information about the withdrawal of incomplete applications. However, it must be noted that application fees will not be refunded even upon withdrawal of application under any circumstances.

The process of withdrawal of application goes like this:

  1. As we request for withdrawal, an OTP will be generated and sent to your registered mobile number or email id
  2. The request for cancellation of application will be accepted soon after the OTP is confirmed ( The OTP will be valid for half an hour only)
  1. After the request is accepted, one has to print the authenticated receipt.

In case that a candidate submitted more than one application forms, then the latest of the applications will be considered for cancellation as the former application will automatically be cancelled. Also, if a candidate withdraws the application once, it cannot be revived again or used again. And the application fees paid by the applicants will remain nonrefundable even if they cancel their application. Further details regarding applications and their withdrawal will be found at email-id: upscsoap@nic.in immediately.
