The Wonder Woman social media review embargo has come and gone, and the reactions to the latest DCEU movie seem pretty darn positive. But it has become a narrative, a DC superhero movie trailer arrives, everyone gets excited about its fantastic looks and then the movie itself arrives and proved to be a bit let-down. Will the history repeat with Wonder Woman?
Warner Bros. has released a new Wonder Woman poster today, along with details regarding next week’s fan screenings. And the release of Wonder Woman is just a few short weeks away, anticipation is running high for this summer’s Wonder Woman film, starring Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman. Full reviews are still under embargo – but tonight, Warner Bros. allowed non-spoiler reactions on social media, and they were almost overwhelmingly positive and great.
Some described it as the best DC movie ever and some said it to be the movie they have been waiting for. The praise from the first critics to have seen it is coming from all corners and even the biggest criticisms have been only that it’s ‘a little rough’ towards the start and end – and those who’ve mentioned that say it doesn’t detract from the overall film. Otherwise, the film which stars Gal Gadot in the lead role and is directed by Patty Jenkins, is being hailed as an absolute triumph, with many describing it as “the best” DC-universe title yet.
Let’s grab the Lasso of Truth and whip up some of the best early reactions and reviews from around the web, some have even compared Gal Gadot to Christopher Reeve’s Superman. Wowsers!
WONDER WOMAN is great. My favorite of the recent DC movies. It’s fierce, funny, well-written and badass. @GalGadot owns it. Her lasso FTW https://t.co/rQ0ufZxWXP

Loved WONDER WOMAN. She reminds me of Christopher Reeve’s Superman: true north superhero w/ no angst or cynicism, which is needed right now.

#WonderWoman has some of the coolest, most insanely well-performed, and badass fight scenes ever; singularly choreographed + shot. And fun!
